The 2016 BMW M2 has finally launched. As the successor to the limited-edition 1 Series M Coupe, it has some big shoes to fill.
The turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine produces 365 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 343 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 5,560 rpm. The m2 wil reach 60mph from a stop in 4.4 seconds with manual transmission, and 4.2 seconds with the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Base price is expected to begin at $50,000.
