Adidas Goretex

The worst thing when buying new shoes made with white material is that they’re prone to water and dirt. Not anymore. Adidas has teamed up with Gore-Tex, a specialist in weather-ready clothes, to create a set of waterproof kicks.

only problem is that gore-tex is expensive material and it has a tendency to be really hot on the inside. otherwise, it’s about damn time military grade waterproofing was used practically!

I want to get a pair and test it in the real world. How does goretex compare to those waterproof sprays?

it’s 100% waterproof. it’s better than rip-stop (another military contracted waterproofing company). it’s breatheable, meaning it doesn’t get too hot on the inside, but it still isn’t as breatheable as a cloth shoe. i’ve worn gore-tex boots and they are really nice. i was walking through a swamp with them. never water go through. the only way water got in was when i fell into the swamp and the muck went in through the top of the boot. i would go to the official gore-tex website for more info.

Reading from the article, its only water proof ? what happen to dirt proof? =p Interesting kicks but the colour isn’t my style. Too bad that Adidas don’t make 4E widths…*sigh*

if you want stain proof, don’t get white shoes. that, or polish them a lot. getting shoes discolored is inevitable, regardless if they’re gore-tex or not.

I’m a Nike fan. But Adidas has proven it that it can match the Nike’s. I’m brain is still hollow, and I don’t know what to say about this shoes. Maybe…cool.
