It’s official… Asia Nitollano is the winner of “Pussycat Dolls: The Search for the Next Doll!”
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, it’s CW’s newest reality series to find a beautiful, talented singer and performer who has what it takes to join one one of the most successful girl groups out there, The Pussycat Dolls.
Asia, a teenage mom from Mount Vernon, New York beat contestants Chelsea and Melissa R. on the show’s finale Tuesday night. The judges agreed that Asia was the best overall performer, even though she wasn’t the best vocalist, and was granted membership into the elite Pussycat Doll pop group. To top off her win, Asia was given the opportunity to perform as a full-fledged Pussycat for the first time at the end of the show.
Asia is a natural at performing, especially under pressure and definitely can work it out. I mean really work it out! Even with her skills though, I was kind of bummed to see her win since I was rooting for Mellisa R.
Melissa R. has the beauty and the gift to perform, but Ron Fair, Chairman of Geffen Records, and also a judge on the show thought she had the “deer in the headlights deal happening.” Whatever that means?!
Maybe next time Melissa. I’m sure you’ll be just successful as Asia, even without the Pussycat contract.

I was rooting for Mellisa too! Asia looks kinda b*tchy. :p Chelsea could sing her lungs out, but definitely couldn’t keep up with either of them dance wise.

No way, im dissappointed, I wanted Melissa R to win, Melissa R was really beautiful, as compared to Asia. I kind of thought that Asia was manly looking for some reason and her movement just wasnt as attractive sometimes.

I agree. I was totally rooting for Melissa R! Isn’t she soooooo gorgeous?! I kinda felt that Asia was going to win though. Asia is a bit hard on the eyes and a lil rough around the edges, but I think its because she’s from New York. As far as her movements, someone on the show did say that Asia dances like a drag and she really didn’t take that comment too well. I think they are both very talented young girls, I just prefer Melissa R because of her beauty and talent.

it was terrible
i don’t understand how asia wins.. melissa r was so much better. Like.. Melissa R was good at everything.. including performing lol. The deer in the headlights thing was the earlier performances I think, plus Asia doesnt look great and can’t sing.
On a side note, was Asia half filipino? -

Can’t believe Asia won. Asia tries too hard and thinks way too much of herself. Plus I think she used her daughter to get ahead on the show. Every time she mentions her daughter the waterworks come soon follow.
Melissa R is so much better. She has the best natural combination of stage performance and vocals of the three. Reminds me why I don’t like “reality shows.” Despite the fact I watched it still. -

Yep, Asia is part Filipino. Not sure if she is a half or a quarter, but she has some in her. I agree with you all…..Melissa R should have won. I think she is just absolutely gorgeous…… :D
