Audi TT RS

Autoblog has gotten their hands on official pics of the upcoming Audi TT RS which premiers in Geneva next month.

Available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles, the TT RS gets aggressive front and rear fascias, slightly larger front air vents, LED driving lamps, twin-spoked alloy wheels and a fixed rear spoiler. Both are powered by a 340-horsepower, 331 lb-ft, 2.5-liter turbo five cylinder. No signs yet from Audi whether the TT RS will be available in the U.S.

I think Audi is one of the best car manufacturer out there, but this is their one car that i dont want much to do with. i got one from the dealer (on loan) and felt that particular year’s model felt incredibly cheap (believe it was 2002)- all kinds of plasticy bits on the inside colored to look like metal- the photos look like they havent changed that . that model was generally understood to be a ‘girl’ car, which i agreed with.

but these two new ones look phenomenal. especially with the new engine- 340horses make this roadster a beast. & the back end of the car has been styled immaculately – definitely shedding some of that girly image from before. [actually i think that rear end looks a LOT like a cayman's backend which is a good thing]

From the press release: Additional information will be available during the Audi Press Conference at the Geneva Auto Show on March 3, 2009 (Hall 1, Booth 1060).
