I’ve been waiting for the day where I could put my Wii sword fighting skills to good use. That day has finally come with Sega’s Bleach Wii: Hakujin Kirameku Rondo. Nintendo released the anime-style video game in Japan last month, and gamers can’t stop raving about it.
The game plays much like Tekken or Virtua Fighter, but instead of using a joystick, players can experience real sword fighting action by using the Wii Remote.

wow, this looks pretty awesome. bleach and wii, two of my favourite things. i hope they release a version here in north america. or if not, i wonder if japanese games would work on my wii?

OMG,thats like the smartest thing nintendo could have done, put BLEACH fighting game on Wii, AMAZING, id totally love to play that, i like how the Wii is more physical so that those lazy gamers out there have to stand and swing to lose more calories ^^,

I want to be a critic for this. Let me put through my criticisms.
1st: Japanese games will not, I repeat, will NOT work on any console except consoles that are manufactured and are sold ONLY in Japan.
2nd: The controls for the Wii, for this kind of game format is plain STUPID. Wii should have figure it out to sell control joysticks that are made like handles of REAL SWORDS. ex: Samurai joysticks.
3rd: I think, the genre is Japanese based. No variety, which sucks. I mean, they should make Soul Caliber like this. Don’t just stick sword fighting only for the glory of the Bushido way, integrate sword styles from different countries like France, Spain, China, India and England, PLUS, add other sword styles from the Romans, Persians, Teutons, etc. Plus, don’t just stick to swords, involve maces, axes, pikes, spears, short & long sticks, nunchucks, etc.
4th: They should market the game around the globe. There maybe a potential for huge sales.
5th: They, the makers of the game, makes it in English version for foreign customers.
6th: If they’ve decided to incorporate foreign sword styles, well, they should make the characters NON-JAPANESE looking. See Dragonball-Z Budokai games. Oh, they look Japanese to me. Silly since, DRAGONBALL-Z is Chinese based comic cartoon story.
7th: Wii should market games not just in Japan, but outside Japan too. I think, this ad portrays rejection of the sale of this game to other countries.
8th: If they are gonna make this game, it should be better than DBZ Budokai.
9th: Graphics should be more fluid, for more realism.
10th: So that means, SEGA and Nintendo are partners? I mean, do they have joint cooperation?

I can see a lot of people getting physically hurt. If just tennis alone has caused injuries among my friends, this game will surely be sending someone home crying. I’ll probably still look into getting it though if theres a US version, heh.
