If Charice Pempengo were allowed to compete on American Idol, she’d blow the socks off every competitor. No joke. This 15-year-old Filipina singing sensation is blowing up in the Philippines and Korea with her unbelievable performances of Whitney Houston’s hit, “I Will Always Love You” and Dreamgirls anthem, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”
It’s rumored that she’s in talks with talks with Clive Davis, Chairman and CEO of RCA Music Group to be signed to a record deal. If he’s smart, he won’t pass up on this soon to be international superstar. Don’t believe me? Watch the videos and judge for yourself.

Charice has been quite popular for a while now, I saw the second posted video almost… half a year ago. One thing that I really admire about Charice besiders her vocals is her ability to make use of her environment on Allen’s show. She is able to walk about the stage without any signs of stage freight, and at age 15… performing in front of big audiences is hard. You know Charice is used to being on the light. If you notice her vocal strenght, it’s VERY VERY strong as compared to many of the artists today, and her talents suit the songs she sings very much. If I were the president of a record label, I’d sign her just cause i know she has potential with that voice of hers.

Wow… I’m absolutely speechless. My first thought was her vocals remind me a lot of Whitney Houston’s style but that might have just been the song selection. In any case… wow. Seriously, wow.

haha…i first saw her on Ellen’s and boy, she was quite a superstar! i didnt know she was popular in Korea too. Im curios on what Simon would say to her too if she competes on American Idol. Asians rule!
