Have you ever wanted to turn your photos into 2D animations similar to the ones popularized in the graphic novel, “A Scanner Darkly?” If so, Director Richard Linklater who performed the animations for the movie will show you how.
“Director Richard Linklater’s A Scanner Darkly impressed audiences this summer with a stunning 2D animation style that mixes heavy blacks lines with shapes of solid color to represent a realistic image. After filming the movie live action, we used proprietary vector software to animate directly over live footage, preserving the likeness and performances of the actors - a process called Interpolated Rotoscoping.”

Time consuming, but anything to do with cel-shading, vectoring or vexeling is tedious work but the results are well worth it.
Definitely worth trying out.

That’s pretty cool. Going to have to wait until I have nothing else to do to give this a try.

If you’ve seen the “Take On Me” song by AHA, you’ll see the similarities. I like the idea that 2d Graphics are recognized since it’s becoming obsolete due to 3D CGI’s today.

I also see one of those masterpieces as contemporary art with an awestruck price> expensive.
