Daigo Umehara Challenges Top Players in Nagoya

Although Daigo isn’t the number one Street Fighter IV player in Japan (Mago and Ojisan Boy are ahead of him in battle points), he still gets quite the attention. The top players in Nagoya gathered together to see how they would fair against this top Ryu player. Some won by a near margin, and others simply got raped. One of my favorites is the battle against Rikuson’s Sagat where he shows off his link combo prowess. Check out the full list of Daigo/Nagoyo challenge videos here.

First round, Sagat has an amazing connect, but then, the tables turned, Round2: no contest at all, Daigo was almost untouchable!

Back in the day everyone used to talk about Tomo being the best at SF2. Anyone remember him?

Yup. I remember Tomo. They actually did a video interview with him and showed it at EVO. He’s retired from SF tho.

That’s crazy. I’ve gotta look that up. BTW, Terry, do you ever get down on HD Remix?
