Thats because she most likely DOESN’T have filipino or spanish in her. I’m full filipino and I can spot one of my “kind” a mile away. Also sometimes I give questions to other filipinos about spain if they claim to be half spanish or part spanish. Like where the country is or what regional sub-languages are spoken there, like catalan. They are like “uh…. I don’t know” haha what a joke.

Yeah kenya I see the chinese and japanese but the other two are too much of a stretch to be true at all.

Is your dad light skinned because you’re not dark at all??? When I think filipinos I usually think they are darker than most asians but I of course know that some aren’t (i’m filipino btw). But your filipino+spanish side makes you less “asian” than most asians… if that makes any sense. lol.. like you don’t look full chinese, full japanese, full filipino or full spanish. whew… that was a lot to list out. hahaha Can’t wait to see more pics of you in the future You’re very pretty and photogenic. :)

My dad is actually pretty dark and my mom who is Chinese/Japanese is lighter – thats why I think I look more like my mom. I completely agree with you – I don’t really look full anything. It also depends on whos looking at me. Filipinos don’t think I look like them because I am too light, my eyes are small, and my features don’t really match up with them. Chinese think my skin tone is off and my features also don’t match up with them also…..and the list goes on…..lol. Perhaps thats why Al can’t see any Filipino in me. If you look at the picture above, that is my niece right next to me and she is almost full Filipino. And in that pano picture, the boy in the teal shirt right next to my niece is her brother (my nephew) and he certainly does look Filipino. I am the lightest in the family and always gets teased about it ;p

That makes sense. My cousin is half filipino and half german. She definitely looks more german than filipino… Especially her hair since it’s almost light blond. I guess one parent’s genes have to be more dominate than the other.

When I was younger I grew up around my light-skinned cousins and many other light skinned filipinos. They have that east asian olive skin. I was one of the darker kids. I never heard a dark skinned filipino person talk about light skinned people. But I always heard light skinned folks talk about people with my skin color. Even my cousins made fun of me calling me calling me half black or african.. and even a monkey. Now I kinda see it as a compliment, but before I felt bad about myself. You definitely feel inferior, I did.
If I have kids…. and thats a LONG SHOT….
I hope they don’t get my genes/looks/everything. I don’t want them to go through the same crap I did.
