That's definitly something to be envious about. Achieving world-wide interest isnt as easy as it sounds. I'll take 50 cent for example, if i bring his music to.. Japan.. China...Thailand.... he wouldn't be well known(due to language barriers) as compared to David Beckham. A fraction of the world loves listening to 50 cent rap, 30% tops, but a vast majority of the world loves watching or playing Soccer, I can guess 80%. Obtaining fame through sports requires a prodigy, David Beckam is one of them, and since in sports, there is no language barrier, Beckham has become world famous. If he can't lift soccer in the US into prime time consideration, I don't know if anything can. After all, he can single-handedly set hair style and fashion trends across a whole continent, so popularizing the MLS should be a walk in the park for him. These two are amazing - as a couple, as individual professionals, and as marketing geniuses. I guess that's what it takes to get a $22 million home in beverly hills to escape to when London gets drabby.
