price is eye-popping, i can't believe that it's expensive...

i don't like the cost but the material is high value, such that mahogany is: an excellent workability, durable and slow to rot

so, it sums up a most favorable wood source

sorry JiggyFly, but bose kind of sucks for the price they make good sounding stuff but the only reason why people think they such a great audio company is because it holds the mass market(average consumers). Ask anyone Audiophile what they think of Bose and they'll tell you Bose is okay, but for the same price or even cheaper you can find way better products.

As for this Grado headphones, they're definitely going to be good. Never have i thought about the whole wood thing, which is actually true. But i wouldnt pay $995 way too much for headphones. Definitely go Sennheiser, not exactly cheap but still great head phones!

"any of the Bose Headphones sound better and they are way cheaper as well"

You're probably being ripped off at the same amount, Bose is just a name brand, you're paying for the name, not the quality.
