Helio is releasing a hot new phone and messaging device called the Ocean later this month for $295. The Helio Ocean features a dual-slide design that has numbers sliding out from the bottom and a QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the side.
Helio has decided to run it’s own user interface that also plays MP3’s and Windows Media files. The Ocean is sure to be a Sidekick killer with it’s support for POP/IMAP mailboxes, IM integration from AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, and Gmail, EV-DO connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with video, 200MB of onboard memory, a miniSD card slot, Bluetooth, photo GPS integration, and Google Maps.
