Michael Arrington and Om Malik

If you ever wanted to know how much you could make as a blogger, look no further than the blogs of Michael Arrington (Techcrunch) and OmMalik (GigaOm). Both run technology blogs that are helping drive the second internet boom known as Web 2.0.

USA Today talks about how these two A-List high profile tech bloggers are turning hobbies to businesses that make over $2 million a year.

Technorati, a blog search engine, ranks Techcrunch as the fourth-most-linked-to blog on the Internet. GigaOm ranks 34, a still impressive number given that Technorati tracks more than 86 million blogs.

Kineda is ranked in the Top 500, so hopefully, we’ll be as high profile as these two tech luminaries soon.

$200,000 a month in revenue for Techcrunch?! Oh my gawd… I’m in the wrong industry. Someone setup me up with a blog so I can rant. :D

The key thing that Michael Arrington had that other bloggers didn’t was his connections inside Silicon Valley. You could’ve started the same blog and be profitless.

Writing has never been my thing. But with that kind of money, I’d take classes and learn to be the best. :D

I’d love to make millions just off of ads…but I’m surprised that people actually click on those things.

Maybe we can push Kineda to top 10 ;)

Techcrunch actually charges a flat rate $10,000 per tiny 125×125 pixel square ad, so Michael makes money regardless if people click on his ads. Nice deal eh? :p

To be an expert blogger, who have to be a socialite, know how to converse, how to open-up and criticise, as well as be able to speak English (generally speaking) and be able to be bias too.

I hope Kineda reaches top 100 by the end of the year, I love the articles Terry and Tami provide us with. But these 2 are living the life, making money by blogging, how easy a life is that, they’re making more money than people who come out of university for 10 years > >
