An international television company in China announced the filming of a 40 episode television series, “Li Xiao Long Chuan Qi†(loosely translated as the legend of Bruce Lee). The show is a prelude to the 2008 Olympics hosted by Beijing.
China Sina Net had reported that the series would require about 5 billion dollars(RMB) to film, and is scheduled to be aired in early 2008. The producer (Yu Sheng Li) expressed that the series would be filmed in China, Hong Kong, United States, and Italy, reenacting the short but glorious life of Bruce Lee.
So who will play the role of Bruce Lee? According to sources, Nie Yuan who had acted in various series is on the list. There are also rumors about Jay Chou, who idolized Bruce Lee, being on the list. According to the director (Wu Zi Niu), Jay’s asked to play the role of Bruce Lee regardless of the payment amount.
Jay is cool and all, but he’s no Bruce Lee! Does he even have any martial arts background?

i listen to alot of music. Jay is definently the biggest performer in asia, he has a sort of kanye west story, produce turned performer. his acting is so-so, initial d and curse of the golden flower showed his capabilities. but just like everyone else says, he just doesnt have the build!
