When it comes to dance movies, there’s no denying that the King of Pop - Michael Jackson owns them all. With Michael in his late 40’s and legally embattled, a new legend of dancers are coming in to fill his shoes. The two most likely heirs to the dancing throne, would be former NSYNC leader - Justin Timberlake, and R&B’s prince - Usher. Both have proved numerous times that they are in a class all their own.
But there’s probably one dancer you haven’t heard of yet, that could give these two stars a run for their money. Known by many as the Asian Usher or Asian Timberlake, his name is Jung Yunho, a.k.a. “U-Know YunHo.” Born February 6, 1986 in GwangJu, Korea, YunHo picked up the nickname U-Know from the quick pronunciation of his name in English. YunHo has been dancing since the 7th grade and it’s apparent that he’s a natural when it comes to tearing up the stage. For the last two years, Korea has voted him as their best dancer, and you’ll quickly see why he’ll probably take the title again this year.
He auditioned for SM Entertainment in 9th grade and secured a spot in Korea’s popular Xman show, where celebrities play out various comedy and dance games. Most of the clips featured here are from the Xman show, and it’s his impromptu dance routines from Xman that helped skyrocket him into stardom.
Being rather humble, YunHo never pairs himself with the prettier girls for Xman’s dance competitions, but rather opts for the less noticed. It’s another reason why he’s melting the hearts of millions of Korea’s teenage girls. YunHo also tours around Asia as the band leader of KPOP group - TVXQ. He’s mentioned in several interviews with KPOP magazines that his goal one day is to become an international superstar. I’m sure with his talents, it won’t be a hard goal to reach. Check out the clips and see what you think.

He’s got competition, Rain’s still got it in Korea too, first time hearing about YunHo. :D

He pulls off a killer robot in that last video. Nice job!

is no good being just a good dancer, for example Se7en, usher and JT can sing too. Rain would be a better bet to be the next MJ

wow, i wish i could dance like him

Rain’s pantech music video has some sweet moves when he does his solo, all the popping, he gets all the girls that way. :P

David… I found Rain’s Pantech Solo vid for comparison. Rain btw was ranked #2 behind YunHo both years. I think Rain probably has a bigger fan following with his slightly better singing abilities.

he’s good but not great. he’s only considered a good dancer cuz he’s a celebrity. There are people who do his style of dance a lot better.
his style of dance is known as popping which incorporates waving and botting and other forms..personally Popping Hyun Joon is a much better popper who is also from korea but unlike Yunho he isn’t a celeb. Also, there are a lot of better Japanese and Korean poppers than Yunho. But he is good and even tho he isn’t better than some others he still gets paid MORE (lucky celeb status..haha) -

Rain is not a better popper. But he incorporates different styles of dance together to creat a fusion of hip hop culture. He has popping, krumpin, waving and hiphop dance styles all kind of meshed into one. So comparing them is hard to do in the dance area considering styles are different! Both are very good tho =]
PS. i talk to much hahahaha
PSS. I KNOW I DO TOO!

MJ is still the grandmaster even at his old age.

What I’m impressed about him is his sense of charisma towards women plus his ability to perform and dance. His looks is alright, so nice job dude. Hey, did I see one dude in one of the videos, I think one is a dude from a Korean pop band named SHINWAH? am I right?

he’s really good, but i think he lacks finesce. he’s not as fluid as MJ

Rain has smooth with his moves, not saying that YunHo isn’t, just needs to make everything flow easier. Love the clip of Rain’s solo in the MV Pantech.

He’s good… but I can’t see him becoming big in North America, maybe a cameo appearance. But he’s still young so me may mature and step it up.
Without trying to over generalize, I find Asians tend to “technically” dominate things that are nit picky to learn… like breakdancing, turntablism/scratching, popping, ping-pong, video games… but don’t always have the showmanship on stage. Like Q-Bert, best turntablist in the world, but still not the greatest on stage… I think this UKnow dude has the skills, but not necessarily the stage presence “yet”.

i’ve watched alot of live dancing, n’ theirs no denying he has charisma. but he lacks variety. i agree w/alot of the comments here =\

yeah you’re probably right drestuh. he should be seen singing on stage or do some drama acts or comedy skits, something like that.
