The viewers of Ellen got an exclusive peek at the new music video for Kanye West’s Love Lockdown single. I know Kanye is going against the grain and trying to top what he’s done in the past, but this song isn’t quite doing it for me — nice, but not great.

I like the beats in the background. But I don’t feel the kanye from the graduation able, this feels like a feel style. His graduation album was so hype and energetic.

an innovator who’s conforming. his first album was lyrically strong, late registration brought bigger beats and lesser on the lyrics. Graduation was really appealing to the mainstream, but showed more samples, bigger beats and even less lyric subject matter. Now we get this, although catchy, he’s just another artist using autotune.
Kanye is known for pushing limits of the music genre, the drum instrumental is refreshing, but he’s losing touch with his hip hop roots.
