Kanye West Performance on American Idol

I can’t believe Kanye West agreed to perform on American Idol. They must have paid a crap load of money to get him to show up. Overall, the performance wasn’t bad but I’m still not diggin that overused autotune voice.

    Totally agreed. Vocoder and autotune, that’s the only thing he’s been using lately… 100% boring.

    i’ll continue to defend the use of autotune because i think it sounds great on the record, but i have to admit that his dependence on it when performing live critically compromises the show.

    not only is his singing bad, but he doesn’t even know how to control his breathing… it’s a bad performance.

    I’m on the con-side of auto-tune; way too many artist use auto-tune nowadays, its unnatural. Billboard artists like T-Pain, Akon and Kanye stick out when I think of auto-tune, its garbage.     I dont know, he has a TOWEL in his pocket! I know, Graduation was great, but nowadays, Kanye really sucks!
