Kanye West: The Ego Has Landed

Kanye West Details Magazine

Details magazine couldn’t pick a better title for their interview with Kanye West. “The Ego Has Landed” pretty much says it all.

Put this in the magazine: There’s nothing more to be said about music. I’m the f—ing end-all, be-all of music. I know what I’m doing. I did 808s in three weeks. I got it. It’s on cruise control. . . Man, we talked about music for God knows how long! Now let’s talk about how my f—ing sweater didn’t come back right from Korea. That’s what’s interesting me.

Yeezy swagger at it’s finest.

He’s got talent but that ego needs to be put in check.

who does the ego bother? you, jules?

give it a rest. the guy makes good music and he’s not hurting anyone. maybe if his music sucks then we could call him out — but if his music sucks, wouldn’t he have bigger problems to deal with?

First of all I am not such a fan of his music. BUT Graduation album was great! BUT his new album (808 blah blah whatever) is not so good. thats my opinion.

i think it all happened so fast and so big for Kanye, that his ego blew up just to compensate.

i hope that in a few years his ego fades away, and he starts making music for himself (foremost) and not just trying to sell a million albums.

kanye — if you define success by how much the public likes you, what does that say about the value of your own opinion?

I really like how he described himself as a “Brand”. I have to admit, he does have some kind of an ego problem, but that is what makes him so special. Every marketable artist have some kind of “uniqueness” and for Kayne West, it is his ego.
