Maggie Quiqley, better known as Maggie Q, will take a leading role in the next Mission Impossible that begins shooting in Italy next month. Maggie Q is a model turned actress, and has even taken the role of producer on some films. She had a hard time breaking it onto the big screen until she abbreivated her last name, discovering that it was to hard to remember in HK. After that, everyone wanted a piece of her. Born Margaret Denise Quigley, she is American-Vietnamese with bits of Irish, Polish and French from her father’s side.
She doesn’t have much Asian in her which is probably why she landed such a lead role. They need a real Asian star for MI3!
