MTV nominates Stephen Chow and Zhang Zi Yi

Kung Fu Hustle

The nominations for the 2006 MTV awards set for June 8th in Culver City has begun. Chinese stars Stephen “God of Kung Fu Comedy” Chow will compete for Best Fight in “Kung Fu Hustle”. Chow’s dedication to pushing the technical limits of martial arts filming have won the eyes and laughter of many around the world. It’s also no surprise that international beauty and actress, Zhang Ziyi, has been nominated for MTV’s new category, “Sexiest Performance,” for her role in“Memoirs of a Geisha.”

    I’d say Memoirs of a Geisha, but Kung Fu hustle has more comedic references and yes more action.

    Do you think “Best Kiss” vets Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will be together to see who gets the popcorn for smooching in 2010? What will win in the category created last year – WTF Moment ( You know – “What the F*** were they thinking when they did this scene?”) Last year’s inaugural award went to Amy Poehler for her scene peeing in a sink in Baby Mama. Literally. There are other uniquely dreamt up categories unique to the MTV Movie Awards that are chosen by you – the fans.
