there actually is some science behind the “5 second rule”. there was a study on it anyway. as long as the surface that the food landed on is relatively clean, then it’s probably safe to eat.

the three second rule states that: any human consumable object ex. food, should be eaten before or three seconds.

Just be wary of your surroundings. You can use the three second rule when you’re on your own, but funny if you’ve done it publicly.
