Name Your Porsche

It’s not enough just to own a Porsche, you have to customize it to really make it stand out from the norm. The must haves are rims, suspension, bodykit, exhaust and of course a “custom badge.”

For $450, you can own a customized badge with up to 5 letters in the original Porsche font. Extra letters are $60, and chrome or gold costs an additional $90.

I’ll be ordering one that says “Kineda” for my White Porsche 997 Turbo. Well, I would if I owned one!

a very clever option to make money, i wonder why car companies never thought of it before.

Probably because it’d kill their overall branding strategy. Not every consumer knows enough about cars to realize that this is “Porsche 911 Turbo” vs. a “Bruce 911 Turbo”.

^ this looks more authentic, same font and same size, can’t get more authentic then this. And if you’re a rich spender, you can get more letters than a regular license plate – so they have in Canada.

Good thing my name is short enough. I won’t need extra letters. ;) Of course, I might need to actually get the car first, yea?
