After only two shows, Ne-Yo has launched a lawsuit against R. Kelly’s concert promotion company Rowe Entertainment after the Chicago R&B star booted him off his current tour
Ne-Yo claims he was kicked off due to reviews and crowd reaction being more favorable for him than R. Kelly. That wouldn’t be surprising giving the popularity of Ne-Yo’s songs lately.
“I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform for my fans,” Ne-Yo said in a statement. “I love being onstage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you — and they were really feeling our show.”
Ne-Yo is suing R. Kelly for $785,000 for the promised 25 show openings.

Pft, as if, he had to kick Ne-yo off the tour, thats not exactly smart. Would it matter if Ne-yo was more popular than him? Course not, I mean, having Neyo in the show would only attract more audience and help the show gain better reviews, at least in my opinion. And I would understand why Neyo wanted to sue him, I mean, you are promsed something, then it’s taken back, it’s not exactly a positive experience. All in all, I actually like the fact that R Kelly kicked him off the tour cause, that would mean Neyo doesn’t have to assosiate with his dirty butt. The last time I heard about R Kelly, it was about some sex crime, and I think ever time I hear R Kelly, he’s in the same position. R Kelly isn’t someone I’d assosiate myself to with the stuff he’s done in the past.

This goes to show R. Kelly should be more humble. He says he is the king of R&B, but his style throughout his career hasn’t really matured into anything better. R. Kelly seems to be Crystal, and Ne Yo is a red winer, R. Kelly is just an opening act and Ne Yo is a head liner.

If Ne-Yo really was booted for being more popular than Kelly, than that’s a really bad act on Kelly’s side no matter how you look at it. It just says so much about Kelly; his lack of professionalism, immaturity, bad business desicion-making, etc. Really lame move Kelly!! If nothing else, he should’ve leveraged Ne-Yo’s popularity for his own profit. So what if he’s been in the industry longer than Ne-Yo. It’s talent that counts.
