Why all this worship of display technology invented in the 60's (7 segment) when the biggest chip had 50 transisters. Now they have billions of logic elements, but we still have ugly 7 segment displays. When my suunto watchband breaks (watch out of production), I'm going to stop wearing a watch for the first time in 40 years. Will use my cellphone as a pocket watch. why can’t anybody make a digital watch with a display as attractive as the cheapest cell phone?

Why all this worship of display technology invented in the 60′s (7 segment) when the biggest chip had 50 transisters. Now they have billions of logic elements, but we still have ugly 7 segment displays.

When my suunto watchband breaks (watch out of production), I’m going to stop wearing a watch for the first time in 40 years. Will use my cellphone as a pocket watch.
