Paris Hilton Out of Jail

Money really does buy you everything, even a get of jail free card. According to this Reuters release:

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was released from prison on Thursday for medical reasons after serving just over three days of a 23-day sentence but she will be confined to her home for 40 days, officials said.

Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office said Hilton had been “reassigned” but he declined to identify her medical condition for privacy reasons.

Hilton, a symbol of privilege and American celebrity culture, was serving a sentence for violating probation after being caught driving with a suspended license. She will have to wear an electronic monitoring device on her ankle to ensure she does not go out for the next 40 days.

Anyone wanna wager that she’s gonna trick out that ankle monitor with diamonds and lace?

    hey, she supposedly had some sort of rash. that’s a serious medical condition. no way was she in condition to be in jail. imagine if she got a scar from the rash, that’d be total abuse!

    the only reason people care is because she isnt eloquent with her words. nobody cares with a kennedy rapes and murders a woman and the endless examples. we all know money does this and it will never change. you can kill someone and get away with it (oj) who cares about drunk driving for some ditz. the only thing worse is putting all the attention on some bimbo and not getting at the root of the problem.

    i think the bigger problem is not that she got out of jail. she’s rich..and it wasn’t really that big of a deal. a lot of non-rich people get off for the same offense.

    it’s that girls have her as a role model and somehow that’s okay. im already disappointed in the majority of the way people act currently..i can only imagine how cruddy people are going to treat themselves and others in 15 years. i hope someone saves our little girls because these overly skinny, insensitive and stupid women are ruining it for everyone.

    I heard during some part of the appeal, she cried and was calling for her mommy. Paris Hilton isn’t a big girl now. Only money can go so far.
