Rimblem

Show car enthusiasts love big wheels. We’ll slap a set of deep dish 19-inch rims on anything that has four fenders and rolls. Sometimes the results look amazingly good, and other times I don’t know what the owner of the car is thinking.

Christopher Harrell, the owner and designer of Rimblem, decided that just having huge rims on his car wasn’t enough. He brainstormed long and hard to come up with a way to answer his question, “What is the most obvious, pronounced, sleekest, most sophisticated way to let everyone know, just by looking at my vehicle that I have 22’s?” Apparently, it was at that moment that Rimblem was born.

Now, first of all, most people could give a flying care in the world what size your rims are. For those that do care, I doubt they’ll need an emblem telling them that the rims are 22’s and not 19’s.

Maybe I’m wrong? Maybe I’m of the minority that can spot 20-inch rims with a blink of the eye? Maybe people just really like showing off the size of their rims? That might be the case since it seems Christopher has been in business for over 4 years now.

Rimblems come in chrome, black pearl and gold editions. If this is really going to blow up in the car scene like neon tubes in the 90’s, Christopher needs to release a set of limited edition diamond-encrusted Rimblems for rap superstars, and maybe even a set of graphite black carbon fiber Rimblems for the boy racers.

A super-white LED back-lit edition would be perfect at night when it’s hard to see the Rimblem. Or maybe a glow-in-the-dark version for those on a budget? I’d hate not knowing what size those rims are just because it’s dark out.
