I got a shiny new Apple 15" MacBookPro for Christmas, but one thing that really sucks is not having a broadband internet connection outside of my house or local Starbucks. T-Mobile Hotspots are great, but they aren’t available in enough areas.
Fortunately, that’s all going to change with the Sprint PX-500 Mobile Broadband Connection Card. The PX-500 will have a signal anywhere there’s Sprint service, and download speeds are surprisingly fast at 400-700 kbps. Now I’ll be able to e-mail, blog, and watch those silly YouTube videos on the go.
The PX-500 is free with activation from Sprint, with a Unlimited Data Plan ($59.99/mo. w/ voice subscription.
$60 a month for internet on the go???!? Too rich for my blood.
Yeah, that’s a bit pricey. Is it also in ExpressCard/34 format? Because, if not, you won’t be able to use it with your MBP.
Darn it… you’re right. The PX-500 only works with the older Powerbooks with the PCMCIA slots.
cancel the internet connection at home in order to pay for this
rofl
i wish they have similar service available in the UK
“download speeds are surprisingly fast at 400-700 kbps.”

djmikey, zope…. too rich for me…
Is this only available in the States? What about here in Australia, especially in Brisbane and Sydney??
