Mega popstar and idol Ayumi Hamasaki is set to release her 39th single, ‘”Startin’/Born to Be,” on March 8th, 2006. “Startin’” is the opening theme of video game Shin Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, while “rainy day” (featured on her (miss)understood album) is the ending theme. The 2nd track on the single, “Born to Be…” is the official theme song of Japan’s coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Singer Ayumi Hamasaki made a surprise guest appearance yesterday at the premier of the new movie “Shinobi.” Starring Yukie Nakama, currently one of the hottest actresses in Japan, the movie features Ayu’s “Heaven” as the theme song. The singer’s surprise appearance on the stage of the Marunouchi Piccadilly movie theater in Yurakucho, wearing the tiniest of mini skirts, sent the audience into a frenzy. Her new song is due for release as a single on September 14, while the movie opens on the 17th.

Ayumi Hamasaki, Ai Otsuka, TMR, ELT, Ami Suzuki, and others appeared today in Ajinomoto stadium of Chofu city on the 21st. Over 45,000 people attended A-Nation 05, in which Ayu performed “fairyland” and “HANABI”, among others. Also, Koda Kumi performed “Love & Honey”, while ELT performed “Dear My Friend”.

At age 26, Ayumi Hamasaki does it again with her hit single, “Fairyland/Alterna”. It’s her 11th single in a row to top the Oricon single chart at No. 1. It started out with “Free & Easy” back in April, 2002 and is her 23rd No.1 single in all. This is great news for Ayumi since she wasn’t able to go on the “A-Nation ‘05″ do to an inflammation of her nose and throat.

Ayumi Hamasaki has announced the release of her new single entitled, “Fairyland c/w alterna”. It will be available on August 3, 2005 in stores!
