New Balance announces the opening of its first New Balance Experience Store in Beijing’s Qianmen Dajie district in eastern China this summer. The new store stems from New Balance’s goal to reinvent the brand’s presence at international retail and is inspired by and dedicated to New Balance’s history. As part of New Balance’s aggressive global growth plan, China is expected to become New Balance’s second largest market with a goal of 1000 New Balance stores by 2012.

Wushu, also known as modern wushu or contemporary wushu, is both an exhibition and a full-contact sport based on a reinterpretations of traditional Chinese martial arts. The Beijing Wushu Team is world renowned as the pinnacle of Wushu today. The tour showcases a mix of veteran athletes and rising stars demonstrating their very best routines.
