Capcom Bar in Japan will Serve Evil Brains for Dessert

On January 25th, Capcom will open “Capcom Bar”, it’s very first bar that serves food and alcohol in the bustling Shinjuku district of Tokyo. The bar will serve as a public relations outpost for the Japanese video game publisher. On the dessert menu is a nice serving of Resident Evil brains, Monster Hunter meat and other video game themed dishes from the Capcom franchise.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Launch Party Pics

Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3 launch party last night was out of control! Not only were there plenty of game stations to try out the soon to be launched epic title, but Capcom also invited MVC3 Producer Niitsuma-san, fighting game guru Seth Killian, Hieroglyphics, David Banner and DJ Qbert to add even more fuel to the madness. To top it off, Ghostface Killah from Wu Tang Clan showed up unannounced and simply killed it on stage. Not only does Capcom know how to design the best fighting games, they also know how to throw one sick party!

Btw… that’s me in the shot with the Marvel cast. :)

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area tomorrow night, you won’t want to miss the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 launch event at the Mezzanine located at 444 Jesse St! The first teaser trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has hit the net. Unfortunately, no actual game play is shown, but at least we get a glimpse at what characters might make it onto the final roster when it releases later this year.

Super Street Fighter IV to Launch in Spring 2010

You knew that Capcom couldn’t produce a Street Fighter game without releasing a sequel right? The official site for Super Street Fighter IV has launched, and so far two new characters have been confirmed — Han Juri (Juri) from Korea and Thunder Hawk (T.Hawk) from Mexico. We can expect to hear more character announcements this Thursday at 17:00 JPN. Super Street Fight IV is expected to include 8 new characters, additional online features and a less-than-full price tag.

Street Fighter IV Real Voice Cell Phone Action Strap

You know you’re an insane SF4 fanatic when you think a cell phone strap that plays Street Fighter 4 voices is cool! Japanese phone strap retailer Strapya has released four different (Ryu, Ken, Dhalsim, Chun Li) mini Street Fighter joysticks that play different Street Fighter 4 voice clips based on your button input combination. A hadouken movement (down, right, punch) will make Ryu say “Hadouken!”

They’re limited to 1,000 pieces and will be sold at the Ikebukuro Tokyu Hands shop for ¥1,260 (about $13 each).
