With Thundercats, Speed Racer, and Voltron, the 80′s own the title of “The Most Badass Cartoons Ever Produced.” Voltron skyrocketted to the #1 cartoon spot when it was released in 1984, and created a merchandising frenzy in the toy industry. The original Voltron diecast metal set, “Godaikin Golion” by Bandai is going for $1000 these days on eBay! Luckily, I never opened mine as badly as I wanted to play with it.
