Google Launches Chromebook Pixel Laptop
Google announced today its own Chrome OS-based laptop called the Chromebook Pixel. The Chromebook Pixel features a unibody design similar to Apple’s MacBook Pro. The 12.85-inch touchscreen with 3:2 aspect ratio features a whopping 2,560 x 1,700 pixel resolution at 239 pixels per inch (ppi). The laptop is made from anodized aluminum alloy and has a backlit keyboard and a touchpad etched from glass. The Chromebook Pixel is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and has a 32 gigabyte solid-state drive (64GB for the LTE model). Pricing starts at $1,299 and will begin shipping next week.
