Life-Sized Tetsujin in Kobe, Japan
Giant Japanese robots are taking over Tokyo. First the 59-foot tall Gundam in Odaiba, Tokyo and now Kobe’s Wakamatsu Park will have their very own giant robot — a 50 ton TETSUJIN 28-go. The video below shows workers constructing the new robot.

A few months ago, we reported that a life-size Gundam would be built in Tokyo park to celebrate their 30th anniversary. It’s now a reality. Our friends over at Pink Tentacle have taken some nice sunset pics of the 59-foot Gundam. I wish I was in Tokyo right now with my cam!
59-Foot Tall Gundam to be Displayed in Tokyo Park
Gundam is celebrating their 30th anniversary by erecting a 59-foot tall Gundam at Shiokaze Park in Tokyo. The life size plastic robot will be on display for two months later year and will feature a moving head unit and 14 points to disperse bursts of mist. (via Streetthing)
