It’s difficult to stand out in a sea of Japanese gravure idols, but Mai Nishida did so by winning the 2006 Spacecraft swimsuit competition — beating out 3,000 other contestants with her sexy figure. The 20-year-old G-cup idol has moved on to releasing several DVD’s and as well as starring in a Japanese TV shows Ranking Kingdom (TBS), and Beach Angels (TBS).

Maxim Korea couldn’t let FHM Taiwan have all the fun with JAV models. So they hooked up with little miss hot stuff Sora Aoi for the June 2009 issue. There’s a short interview in the feature about her jump to the big screen in a 4 episode drama titled “Korean Classroom.” It’s about three Japanese students (AV idols Mihiro and Tina Yuzuki will be joining her) visiting Korea where they fall for some local men. Each star will be featured in one episode and the final episode will bring them together. Korean Classroom will air over Korean cable channel TVN at the end of May.
Three of the hottest AV idols in one movie falling for a group of men they just met? Hmm… sounds like an AV plot to me — minus the sex of course!

How do you promote a new cell phone in China? You hire cute Chinese girls. I understand selling beauty and fashion products with the use of pretty models, but how effective is the use of models for electronics? In a male dominated market, I assume it at least causes potential buyers to give a second look.
I’m not complaining about the use of hot chinese girls, but how it’d be interesting to see how many phones would sell with and without these kind of ads.
