Wicked Lasers – The Closest Thing to Real Lightsabers

Whenever I get asked about the one thing I’d take with me if I was stranded on an island, the answer is obvious. A lightsaber, bro! The guys at Wicked Lasers might be on the same page, because they’ve brought us another step closer to the real thing. You can’t chop anybody’s arm off with them but they power on like it’s some real jedi ish about to go down.

The Lasersaber—that’s how they call it to avoid any Lucasfilm lawsuits—is actually a 32-inch polycarbonate blade with an anodized aluminum base that attaches to a Spyder 3 laser. It has some kind of mechanism that makes the sword power on and off like the ones in the movie.
