MTV released an exclusive preview of New Moon a couple of days ago at their Movie Awards, and ever since Twilight fever has taken over girls across the globe. Any girl who has read the Twilight series can’t seem to stop talking about how sweet Edward Cullen is, and why us guys can’t be more like him. I’ll give you one big clue why we can’t be like him — he’s a vampire and he’s fictional! No use trying to fight it though, you’ll never win. Peep the New Moon trailer below, it’s actually quite good.

Blood: The Last Vampire has it all: hot Asian sword-wielding chicks (Korean actress Jun Ji-Hyun), sick fight scenes, and blood sucking vampires. It’s a live-action anime adaptation from the producers of Hero and Crouching Tiger which will hit Japan theaters on May 29, 2009 and UK theaters on June 12, 2009.

Dark Version of Fantastic Four in the Works

Dark comic films have been the rage these past few years thanks to movies like “The Dark Knight,” “Sin City” and “Watchmen.” Anonymous sources at IESB, have leaked that a possible complete dark remake of “Fantastic Four” could be in the works.

20th Century Fox is looking to apply the edgier formula along with an entirely new cast. I guess we can say bye-bye to Jessica Alba.

What do you think? Should they overhaul Fantastic Four with this new “dark” format?

Final Epic X-Men Origins: Wolverine Trailer

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — X-Men Origins: Wolverine looks badass! I can’t wait until this movie hits the big screens on May 1, 2009. In case you’ve been trapped in a cave somewhere this past year, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is the prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, focusing on the mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine’s skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium.

“Terminator Salvation” will be hitting screens for the Memorial Day weekend on May 21st. If you want to see Christian Bale and some pretty intimidating robots in action, watch the new trailer below.

Akira Now Available on Blu-ray

Katsuhiro Otomo’s legendary anime film AKIRA is now available in full 1080p HD. The AKIRA Blu-ray will feature visuals from a new Hi-Def transfer made from original materials and include English and Japanese audio and with optional English and Japanese subtitles. In an industry first, the disc will also contain a 192 KHz 24 bit audio stream.

Opinions on Slumdog Millionaire?

Everyone is seriously raving about Slumdog Millionaire, but I have yet to see it myself. I’m planning on checking it out this weekend especially after hearing that it’s been nominated for Best Drama Film at the Golden Globes, and ten nominations at the Academy Awards.

Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young uneducated man from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and exceeds people’s expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.

Without spoiling the movie for those who haven’t seen it (like me please), what are you thoughts on Slumdog Millionaire?
