Popstar Namie Amuro is still on tour for her new album, “QUEEN OF HIP HOP”. Namie Amura will be performing a total of 24 songs at each tour stop, and will complete her tour on Christmas Eve. Fans were delighted to see a suprise visit from from her old group MAX(Super Monkeys) to support her along the way.

Ten years ago, Namie Amuro was the hottest diva in the Japanese music scene at the age of 17. Ten years later, the 27-year old has regained her diva status and wowing fans with her image reinvention with the same Amuro style but with a sexy attitude. And on the 18th, dazzled 600 fans with a performance on the rooftop of Daiba’s Aquacity as part of a promotion for her latest album “Queen of Hip-Pop”. Namie Amuro’s nationwide tour beings on September 1.

Namie Amuro’s new album, “Queen of Hip Hop” has hit #1 status on the Oricon charts! Namie Amuro was born on September 20, 1977. She is a Japanese pop singer and Japanese idol originally from Okinawa Prefecture, born to a Japanese father and a half Japanese/half Italian mother.

Debuting in 1992 in a girl group named SUPER MONKEYS, she struggled to reach the top until the release of “TRY ME ~Watashi wo Shinijite~” in early 1995. The album catapulted her into superstardom. Leaving the group the same year and joining forces with top producer Tetsuya Komuro, Namie would go on to become a cultural phenomenon. Now after performing for well over a decade, she continues to be one of Japan’s biggest pop acts.
