After only two shows, Ne-Yo has launched a lawsuit against R. Kelly’s concert promotion company Rowe Entertainment after the Chicago R&B star booted him off his current tour

Ne-Yo claims he was kicked off due to reviews and crowd reaction being more favorable for him than R. Kelly. That wouldn’t be surprising giving the popularity of Ne-Yo’s songs lately.

“I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform for my fans,” Ne-Yo said in a statement. “I love being onstage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you — and they were really feeling our show.”

Ne-Yo is suing R. Kelly for $785,000 for the promised 25 show openings.

If Ne-Yo’s hit song “Because of You” off his soon to be released sophomore album sounds a bit like Michael Jackson to you, it’s because he intended it that way.

“I feel that “Because of You”… If people didn’t notice, I’m thinking everybody did, but it’s very Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is a huge part of why it is I do what I do. So that is kind of my ode to him, this song.

Ne-Yo is as famous for his songwriting as with his singing, writing such songs as Rihanna’s Top 10 hit, “Unfaithful”, Mario’s “Let Me Love You”, Mario Vazquez’s “Gallery”, Paula DeAnda’s “Walk Away (Remember Me)” and Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable”.

I’m really digging this song, and the vid isn’t too bad either. He punches out quite a few signature MJ moves here and there, but why he would cheat on his smoking hot girl for some whack chick is beyond me.
