In the tradition of bringing together science and beauty, the new Aliph Jawbone 2 ($130) design is 50% smaller than the original award-winning Jawbone, and features breakthrough noise elimination technology to provide even better voice quality than the original in a smaller and more ergonomic package.

I just picked one up this weekend, and it’s the slickest Bluetooth headset I’ve ever used. It’s so lightweight that you can barely feel it’s on your ear. The best part is that callers can hear me perfectly, and don’t even realize I’m on a headset.

The design is simply awesome. I really like the textured exterior and slick touch-sensitive buttons. Haven’t had a chance to test the battery life yet, but Aliph claims 4 hours of talk time and up to 8 days of standby service.

Don’t you hate it when you sign up for a longterm cellphone contract, only to find out how bad the service is after just a couple months of use? Or maybe there’s a new cellphone you want, but it’s not offered by your current carrier, and you’re trapped in your current plan? Historically, cellphones have been like wives. Upgrading to a younger model usually meant a big drain on the wallet. But not anymore!

Did you know you can leave your cell phone contract without paying any penalty fee? The secret to doing so, is finding someone that’s willing to buy your plan from you. Finding a buyer means saving on termination fees that typically run as much as $200 a line.

Websites like Celltrade provide a matchmaking service to get you hooked up with a buyer for as little as $20. That’ll leave you a nice couple hundred bucks in your pocket, for that snazzy new cellphone you have your eye on.

I’ve always had the need to stay connected to the Web and E-mail while I’m on the go. This is especially true when I hit the mall with Tami and she’s taking forever to try on clothes! To pass time, I’ll flip out my <del datetime="2006-12-14T19:50:44+00:00">Palm Treo</del> Samsung Blackjack cell phone and surf some of my favorite blogs to catch up on the latest news, or I’ll pop onto Kineda to see if any new comments have been added to my latest postings.

Although web standards have been gaining ground in the last few years, many websites still haven’t created a stylesheet specifically for mobile handhelds. I find this horrible in a day and age where almost everyone has a phone that’s web-enabled.

Some sites appear so jumbled they’re unreadable on my Samsung Blackjack which runs IE Mobile, while others render fantastically. The ideal situation would be for each site to develop a stylesheet and code set specifically tailored to mobile handhelds. Along with the handheld stylesheet, would be a strip down of heavy graphics, flash, and other unneeded features to create a slim and trim mobile site that would fit a 2 to 3 inch screen.

What would all this ranting be worth if I didn’t practice what I preach? Nothing of course. So, I sat down last night and created Kineda Mobile Edition! Now you can easily view the most recent postings in a simple list format, and add comments on the go.

I was reading the other day that the wireless services market will reach an estimated $698 billion in year sales by 2009 as mobile phones replace the PC as the primary communication device, according to the Yankee Group. This is an astonishing number that anyone trying to reach their maximum audience (especially the ones not glued to their desks) should really be paying attention to.

Now go out and enjoy Kineda wherever you’re at!

Check out this video of the Cingular Samsung Blackjack. It’s one of the slickest commercials I’ve seen for a Cingular network phone. Tami just got the Blackjack for me as an early Christmas gift, and I’m loving it! Browsing at 3G speeds just rocks the turtle speed of my old Treo 650. The phone is also significantly slimmer and lighter at 4.5 by 2.3 by .5 inches and weighs a mere 3.5 ounces.

The included RSS reader which allows you to download news feeds from various websites is a great addition to the included Internet Explorer web browser. There’s also the bungled OZ Instant Messaging program that allows me to stay connected on AIM, MSN and Yahoo!

The phone’s 1.3-megapixel camera takes pretty nice photos and also does video recordings at 320 x 240px. The videos are pretty smooth even though they’re recorded at a low 9 frames/sec.

I have to say that the Treo and Blackberry killer has finally arrived, and it’s name is the Blackjack. Take a look at all of the features of the Samsang Blackjack on the Official Website, with features spokesmodel Katherine Heigl (Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy).
