Lawless Movie Trailer

As a fan of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, I can’t get enough of Prohibition Era drama. So when this trailer came out, my jaw dropped. Pause. First of all, they got Tom Hardy looking more rugged than a bat with nails in it. Then they brought Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce in to assume the position of OG gangster and detective, respectively. And finally they played up Shia LaBeouf’s strength as an actor, the scrawny lover boy. Ha! Another guy movie classic in the making.

Inspired by the story of the Bondurant brothers, the film follows the duo played by LaBeouf and Hardy as they establish both wealth and enemies from their dealings with bootlegging alcohol during the Depression-era period.

The film’s due out August 31st.
