Bruno Mars pours his heart out on “It Will Rain,” the lead single from the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, in stores November 8.

“The Twilight movies for me [are] a love story. But it’s a dark love story,” Bruno tells Billboard. “And I think the best way to describe the song is: it’s the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up.”

It’s an example of transformative storytelling serving as a pro-feminist visual critique of Edward’s character and generally creepy behavior. Seen through Buffy’s eyes some of the more patriarchal gender roles and sexist Hollywood tropes embedded in the Twilight saga are exposed in hilarious ways.

MTV released an exclusive preview of New Moon a couple of days ago at their Movie Awards, and ever since Twilight fever has taken over girls across the globe. Any girl who has read the Twilight series can’t seem to stop talking about how sweet Edward Cullen is, and why us guys can’t be more like him.
