The nominations for the 2006 MTV awards set for June 8th in Culver City has begun. Chinese stars Stephen “God of Kung Fu Comedy” Chow will compete for Best Fight in â€œKung Fu Hustleâ€. Chow’s dedication to pushing the technical limits of martial arts filming have won the eyes and laughter of many around the world. It’s also no surprise that international beauty and actress, Zhang Ziyi, has been nominated for MTV’s new category, “Sexiest Performance,” for her role inâ€œMemoirs of a Geisha.â€

Jasmine Women stars Zhang Ziyi as a young mother in a dramatic love story about the tragic lives of three women of different generations in the same family. The generational family saga is set in Shanghai in the thirties, sixties, and eighties.
