No, there’s no nude photos of Tila Nguyen otherwise known as Tila Tequila here in this feature article (you know how we love to keep it PG-13), but we do have some groovy photos, videos and a bit of background to share of this MySpace sensation.

For those of you who don’t know, Tila Tequila is the most popular girl on MySpace with a whopping 2558665 friends the last time we checked. 2.5+ million online friends?! Pretty unbelievable eh? Talk about being an Internet Celebrity.

Tila is 3/4 Vietnamese and 1/4 French and was born October 24, 1981 in Singapore. You can see the hint of French in her blood by the freckles on her face. Tila’s rise to fame started at the young age of 18, when she was spotted at a L.A. mall by Playboy scouts. There’s no doubt that they noticed her implants, that help shape her petite figure. She took the title of “Cyber Girl of the Week” on April 22nd, 2002 and quickly moved up to “Playboy’s Asian Cyber Girl of the Month.”

Since more than half the male population had seen her nude online already, it was a no brainer that she became an instant hit at import car shows such as Hot Import Nights, where young males show up more for the buffet of scantily-clad import models, than tricked out cars.

So where did the name Tila Tequila come from? Tila explains in the April 2006 issue of Stuff Magazine, where she was featured on the cover, that her nickname “Tila Tequila” was coined by her friends who used to offer her tequila. Apparently, she couldn’t drink any because of her allergic reaction to alcohol. So much for trying to get her drunk eh?

Tila isn’t standing idle with all the fame MySpace has brought her. She’s working on her punk rock music career after being featured on the MySpace Records Vol. 1 CD alongside such acts as AFI, The All-American Rejects, Dashboard Confessional, Fall Out Boy, and Rivers Cuomo.

I guess having friends really does help you succeed, even if they are only online!

    I read on TMZ that Tila tried to namedrop Jared Leto as her boyfriend to get into Club Hyde. She wasn’t able to get into until he showed up. :p

    I’m not really fond of Tila.. Not my type, sort to speak. I do envy her for her fame on MySpace though.. A whopping 1.5 million.. That’s not bad, not bad at all :p

    She’s fairly hot but her insecurities are pretty obvious from the way she presents herself which makes her a lot less attractive. Then again, she seems to be aware of her “issues”.

    why is everyone being so hard on her? she seems to have a ton of fans and isn’t afraid to be herself. she isn’t the prettiest girl i’ve seen but she’s rather cute in some pics. is everyone just mad that she’s popular???

    i’m sure most girls would hop on the chance of posing in playboy if it were given to them. I know I would if I was hot enough. :p look at the “girls next door” which aren’t the prettiest of girls either but they’re popular and successful too.

    Haha we’re not being hard on her. And I’m not at her for being popular. On the contrary, I admire the fact she’s got all those friends on myspace.. really.

    But it’s just that compared to all the other ones, she doesn’t appeal to me. Take some Victoria’s Secret models for instance. They’re good looking (some may be too slim) and they have this classy appearance somehow. I know it’s rather unfair to compare Tila to the VS girls but hey, it’s just a comparison.

    And it’s not the playboy that’s an issue. Not at all. There are tons of playboy models who show this x-factor (somehow I can’t seem to think of any), but Tila just doesn’t have the latter.

    …I think she’s really hot, like every female posted on this site. I just think her personality is a bit off… I mean if she was 19 then you could say she’s a teeny bop kid. But at 25, that’s halfway to 30! :).

    I looked at the pictures a bit longer and I noticed she has a really wide face for an asian girl. maybe that’s why I don’t find her as attractive as she could be.

    Her facial features are squashed, I don’t find her attractive at all. Her music is terrible and having 1.5million ‘friends’ isn’t really a big deal. Look at her comments, it’s just all spam and people wanting hits to their own profiles.
