on the 2nd to my last trip, i went to both tao and pure. pure is pretty nice. the people there were somewhat down to earth. i definitely had a lot of fun there dancing with random ggirls. think i left around 4am – ahh fun drunk times.

tao is a VERY nice club, but i have many problems with it. i went there the first time over a year ago, and it was crazy packed. the second time i went was about 2-4 months ago. this time, they opened a roof area, were it was VERY VERY nice. there was a pool, which no one could swim in anyway, but it was open air, so definitely a great place to catch some air. this 2nd time, it was still very packed, so good luck trying to dance in the main dance floor. it’s really hard to get around, as it’ll take you about 5 minutes to move from away from the dance floor. shoulder to shoulder dancing with strangers is definitely not my idea of dancing.

tao and pure were pretty asian-dominant. tao though has very snobby people. the line sucks, and guys pretty much have to fork ~$30 at the door on busy nights, and possibly not so busy nights as well. girls can get in there free with passes that you get from people who pass it out on the streets, or maybe at the concierge desk. also at tao, you have to watch out on busy nights. you need to have an even number of guys to girls, else the security guard probably won’t let you in. also make sure that you pair up the girls and guys. i heard that there was a group where the girls were in front, were let in, and then the guys behind were left behind and couldn’t get in. vegas definitely has some shady club etiquettes.

being from the bay area though, these vegas clubs were simply amazing. i much rather pay $30 at vegas than at the crappy ones in sf.

finally, speaking as a guy, girls at these vegas clubs are HOT. i’d probably say the same about guys if i was a girl, but yea, i didn’t really check guys out.
