Maybe you’re not earning enough because you’re living in the wrong city? Below is a list of the the top ten cities with the highest median household income in the U.S. If you’re not making the same kind of bacon these folks are bringing home, you might consider packing your bags and heading to where the money is at.
- Greenwich, CT - $112,493
- Cupertino, CA - $110,518
- San Ramon, CA - $109,500
- Bethesda, MD - $109,417
- Lower Mound, TX - $104,921

I guess it’s not pure coincidence that those well paid creative and intelligent minds are working at the Apple headquarters located at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA!

I live in California and you have to remember that many of the cities listed have a higher than average living standard as well. Houses in Cuptertino are not cheap by any means!

Many people believe that the location you live in has something to do with creating prosperity. It has nothing to do with where you live….it has everything to do with what you do. We have been able to retire at age 45 and now live life on our terms, because of the choices we made, and because we decided that we didn’t have to settle for what type of work was in our immediate area. We now spend every day together, travel the world and have total freedom in our lives, and teach other people how to do the same thing, no mattter where they are located.

You can build prosperity no matter where you live. It is up to you to create what you want in your life. I live in San Diego and even on a high 6-figure income we were just getting by until I decided to do something about it. The cost of living, no matter where you live, has one solution - make more money. I retired from the corporate world at 39 and am living the life I always knew I wanted.
