Vanessa Minnillo

Vanessa Minnillo is one of the most successful American television personality’s on TV. Much of her success comes from the fact that she’s not only a great host, but she’s a delight to look at as well. I’m sure we all agree right? Vanessa has always been a champ when it comes to beauty, in 1998 she won the coveted Miss Teen USA Crown.

ET decided to place Vanessa undercover in a fat suit, braces and special effects makeup to see how “ugly” people were treated differently from “pretty” ones. The transformation turned her into a real-life Ugly Betty. The seven-part series, will place her on the streets of New York City, where hidden cameras will document the public’s reaction to the the “blonde bombshell Vanessa” and the “chubby girl-next-door Vanessa.”

She couldn’t believe the reactions she got from the public just for being overweight. While walking down the steps of a NYC subway in the ugly suit, a girl remarked “Who mugged your ‘do?” “I can’t do it, that girl was so mean,” Vanessa says. “It’s almost like an accepted form of discrimination because she can laugh at me, and that hurts.”
